Audit Manager - Data Analytics          2021-2023

Acted as Chief of Staff for the Chief Audit Officer, manager of the Data Analytics team for the department and co-leader of the SOX Center of Excellence. Worked with 6 other audit managers to ensure department goals were met, schedules were coordinated, and personnel were recruited for a 75 person department. Managed 8 data scientists to perform data analytics on audits to help find risk areas and trends. Prepared all internal audit materials for the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors 

Director of Financial Reporting          2017-2020

International assignment in Mannheim, Germany focused on improving the financial planning & analysis, cost accounting and R&D reporting for an acquired engines manufacturing business in Germany. Led the management reporting area of the finance department with 12 direct and dotted line employees. Company structure included main manufacturing plant, 4 service centers and 12 international subsidiaries.

Senior Manager, Consolidations and FP&A          2014-2017

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in charge of consolidating, reporting and forecasting for multi-billion dollar large engines division. Collaborated with 4 different profit centers containing 20 global manufacturing sites to gather monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts. Presented monthly results and high level analysis of division’s global operations to division Senior Vice President and Division CFO.  

Plant Controller / Commercial Manager          2012-2014

Plant controller for captive iron foundry producing cast engine blocks, heads, liners and housings. Managed full P&L for the $200M plant. Directed staff of four employees and oversaw all accounting 

functions including general ledger, financial analysis, product costing and internal controls. Acted as plant’s Commercial Manager by soliciting insourcing projects to the foundry through engineering and purchasing functions. Collaborated with internal management to bring insourcing projects to production.

US Signs, Inc          2010-2012

CFO / Controller

Directed and managed day-to-day financial and accounting functions for a growing $20M project management firm. Managed accounting department staff of eight employees while overseeing financial analysis and audits, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, bank reporting, HR and IT. Developed working relationships with stakeholders and constantly looked for and delivered ways to strengthen financial performance.

Neal Glassett is the Principal and owner of Peoria Consulting, LLC. He has over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership. Neal's experience has included multiple Fortune 500 companies. His leadership has helped smaller $100M plants and larger $4B divisions. Neal's largest amount of experience comes in the FP&A space but has also worked sell-side due diligence, audit preparation, analytics, controllership, ERP deployments and buyer-side integration. He also serves as the Treasurer on a non-profit board and has experience helping another distressed non-profit fix their books. Neal has experience both within the US and internationally and is a Certified Public Accountant.
